Why men want career women nowadays.

career woman

There is a trend now prevalent in Cameroon whereby most men are quick to tell you the profession of their wives as soon as you strike a conversation with them. I was in church recently attending a wedding, when the pastor emphasized that the bride was a banker without even reciprocally mentioning the profession of the bridegroom. Not only that but most men would quickly tell you the profession of their wife in order to appear more important.

Why this craze for career women? What is in them that makes them special?

For one, most men would tell you that they prefer career women because of the income they bring back home. Even the bible acknowledges that two is better than one. When the husband and wife are both working, their combined income can make them achieve things that only one income cannot. A woman who is a housewife expects every single franc from her husband meanwhile a career woman can eadily take care of her needs herself.

However other men are adamant that they donot care whether their wives are working or not because all they look at is the character. You can change everything about a woman except her character.

For my readers who are men. Who do you prefer? Career woman or not. Register your thoughts below.

Should a christian be afraid to visit their village?

a village in africa

One thing the christian revival has done is that it has completely weakened the invincibility of witches and wizards. A lot of people were afraid to visit their villages of origin because tjey were afraid of being afflicted or killed by these agents of destruction. However, today, it is no longer so. Children of God are above all demonic and satanic forces and reign absolutely over them. They travel and go anywhere without fear. (Isaiah 41:10)

I have heard of types of stories about some people who visited their villages and what happened to them upon their return. Most often, the misfortune of these people are attributed to witches and wizards whether proven or not. There os this man who told me how he visited his parents in his village somewhere along the border with Nigeria. He was offered a chair to sit on by an old woman he visited and upon his return to Europe he couldnot concentrate on his job. He alnost lost his job and he blamed his misfortune on the old woman who gave him a chair to sit on. Another clear case is a lady who went visiting her village and upon her return to Europe discovered she could no longer see while plainting her friend’s hair. She and her husband went to several hospitals but all the test she made came out negative. The pastor then decided to assign some prayer warriors to pray for her and after a week, her eyesight wad restored. She woke up at 2 am in the morning on a sunday and she found out she could see. Sbe danced joyiously in church, and all the congregation rejoiced with her.

Despite these abnormal cases which may seem paranormal, a lot of people visit their villages every year and nothing happens to them. The bible says in Psalms 91:3, that God would keep you safe from all hidden dangers and deadly diseases. It also says in Psalms 91:5; that you need not fear any dangers at night or sudden attacks during the day. I hope you stop being afraid of visiting your village because in so far as you are in Christ, nothing would happen to you. Not a single strand of your hair would be touched by whatsoever witch or wizard.

Should plaiting hair be a do-or-die affair for women?

woman with plaited hair

I was holding a conversation with a lady the other day and she told me she would prefer to go naked than to leave her hair unkempt (not plaited). I looked at her perplexed, not believing what i just heard. It started dawning on me how important it was for a woman to make up her hair. I even heard a woman’s hair makes 90% of her beauty.

A lot of men would tell you that the kost recurring problem they have to face about their wives all the time is their hair. There are marriages which have broken down because the man failed to give the woman money to make up her hair. This is especially true during big days and parties when competition among women with their various hair styles and clothes is at its peak. And you would not imagine how much goes in to make those hair styles. The beauty industry is a multimillion francs industry employing several thousand men and women.

Why should women devote a lot of time on their hair? I was told it all boils down to seducing men. All the gymnastics women do is to seduce the men in their lives. And for a lot of men, a pretty girl is one with a well groomed face including well made hair. Made-up hair is very instrumental in bringing out the beauty of a woman. You just have to look at a woman before and after she had made up her hair.

Women complain that when they have not made up their hair they donot feel pretty enough. They say they can sense that because less men talk to them then. What do you think about this topic? Register your thoughts below.

5 tips to get your dream job.

man working

Getting a job in today’s economy is becoming more difficult because of the high number of job seekers and the few enterprises offering jobs. Follow these 4 tips to get your dream job.

1) Consider yourself as having skills and not being a member of a profession.

Suppose you just got your accounting certificate and you are seeking for a job, donot limit yourself only to accounting jobs. Are there other skills you possess? Maybe you worked sometime as a photographer, a cook, a driver etc. Use those skills to your advantage by looking for a job in those professions as well. If you feel you are not proficient enough, take a course or seminar to improve on that skill then look for a job.

2) Have more than one CV.

A lot of candidates have just one standardised CV that they send to all employers. Sit down and identify every single skill you have, then make a different version of your CV for each of those skills. You would increase your chances of getting a job or landing an interview.

3) apply to many job offers.

It is surprising that most applicants give up after sending just one or two job applications. Some people tell you they are looking for a job and when you ask how many applications they have sent out, they would tell you none. How can you catch fish if you donot send you net under water? You should send out an average of 4 applications per week which adds up to 16 per month.

4) Never send your CV without a motivation letter.

A lot of job seekers just send their CVs without a motivation letter. A motivation letter would convince the employer to call you for an interview for you to talk about your CV. Never send a job application without a motivations letter.

5) Avoid grammatical errors.

Make sure you check your application several times for grammatical errors before submitting it. No employer likes to receive an application with errors on them. Did you enjoy this post? What did i omit? Write your comments below.
