There is a strange phenomenon now gripping the major cities of the south west and north west provinces. It is the phenomenon of high rise buildings commonly called sky scrappers in the west. It seems there is a hidden competition among developers to see who among them would go highest into the skyline.
It is not uncommon to find nowadays buildings rising to 8 and 10 storeys being built or completed in kumba, Limbe, Buea and Bamenda. One thing i have noted among developers is their confidence that because of the shortage of housing units in Cameroon, their buildings would be taken as soon as possible.
These high rise buildings are gradually transforming these cities making them not different from the economic and political capitals of Douala and Yaounde.I hope this trend continues. I wish you all a happy day.
